Sculptural Work
This work is about the natural evolution of plants spreading their seeds and reflects my growth and development from the functional to sculptural realm. Seed dispersal reminds us just how effective yet slow the renewal of plant life is. The seed is sturdy and resilient to a point, while being dependent on the balance of wind, water, fire and earth. Displaying this balance in shape and form by arranging the seed pods in tenuous positions with repetition and variance in their natural states, shows the slow dispersal of seeds as they randomly travel to their renewal.
